Plasma Nades, CTF, and Aspirin

Ok so this is going to be a more serious rant / post. In light of more recent games in Halo 3, I would like to go over some precise issues and comments about some aspects of Halo 3 gameplay.

Plasma and Spike(Stick) Nades:

First off lets talk about plasma and spike grenades. A plasma grenade is alot like a regular grenade, except a plasma grenade has a plasma charge that will enable it to stick to almost anything, people, vehicles, weapons, etc. A plasma grenade will not stick to walls. Thats where a spike grenade comes in. Like plasma nades spike or stick grenades will stick to people, vehicles and weapons, but also will stick to walls, ceilings and so on. The benefit to this is the ability to throw a stick grenade into a hallway or up into a room and have it explode shooting little spikes everywhere. The real trick is getting it placed where and when you want it.

This can lead to alot of hilarious moments and laughs, but as well as alot of headaches and staring at the floor wondering how your buddy just pulled off that crazy luck-toss from across map and managed to place it directly on your hand as you passed through some small hall or past a window.

CTF:

Ok, now everyone pretty much knows what CTF is. Capture the Flag is a generic and well known gametypes in alot of games. Now the fun in Halo 3 CTF is the ability to make the flag carrier run faster and all kinds of tweaks to make matches more interesting. What I want to discuss is the annoying flag return and flag reset time. Your running along with the enemies flag and you run into a enemy. Naturally you drop their flag to exchange fire, in the confusion you might move some distance from the flag or even die. When you manage to get back to it, it resets right as you go to grab it. I spent countless hours chasing the enemy flag carrier, dropping, and running back to the flag. Now you could bash the person, but trying to bash vs. being shot or having nades tossed at you is just asking for it. This does add a different aspect to the CTF style of play, but also could be changed a bit to make it more logical or tactical. You can tweak the reset and return times, but the default settings will prob no doubt be the required settings for competition.

After all this I need an Aspirin to make my massive headache go away. Goodluck and have fun.

Buzzing no more!

After two weeks of listening to my cpu fan buzzing due to the bearings going bad, I finally replace it this morning with the help of my brother. I replaced the Coolermaster heatsink and fan with a new Coolermaster Hyper L3 heatsink and fan. The new Hyper L3 has heatpipes and runs alot quieter.

More Haste & Graphics Project

Last night was our second night in Gruul's Lair this week and we managed to take Gruul down on third attempt. I was extremely pleased when the Dragonspine Trophy dropped. I managed to walk away with it after dropping all 34 of my dkp on it. My hit rating has gone down a bit, but I should be able to rework and get it back up there in no time.

A friend of mine and I have decided to do a joint effort in doing graphics and webdesigns. With some minor projects awaiting, we are both excited and eager to get things under way. We are working on getting a website up and running and I will have more info once we have done so.

Lots of New updates!!

Well it's been a while since I have posted something so I have alot of new updates. First lemme start off with my Fall semester. For fall I am taking ENC1102(Argument and Persuation),AMH1050(Foreign Policy), and PGY2801 (Still Imaging, Photoshop). So far I am excited. I think ENC1102 will give me the most trouble as in doing lots of work. I will end up doing lots of editing on my essays, revising and redoing. As far as AMH1050, being a history and war fanatic I can't wait to get into the WWII stuff. The graphics class is where I am the most pumped. A whole semester of just Photoshop. We also got brand new Mac's in the classroom along with Adobe Photoshop CS3.

As far as gaming news goes, I have weaseling quality time with my friend Dusten's Xbox360 and Bioshock. I absolutely LOVE this game. I can't wait to get it for PC, but I am going to wait for the SecureROM lawsuit to finalize. For more info on the SecureROM lawsuit check out this link.

Bioshock SecureROM fiasco

On the World of Warcraft side of spectrum, I finally got my Edgewalker Longboots from Moroes in Karazhan. I promptly socketed them with dual Glinting Noble Topaz (4hit 4agi). Thus improving my hit and dps significantly. I am also in the process of resocketing and re-enchanting some of my current gear. I have been working on my 19 Human Rogue Twink as well. I have most of the gear I want minus a few things.



I should have some new sig's and graphics to share as well as an update on my webpage.

Arena Season 2

Well so far this season my 2v2 team (Ack Im Under Attack) has managed to have a decent amount of sucess. I managed to get my Merciless Shoulders today. The team itself is going through some member changes and should have everything worked out in the next couple weeks. We should be back on track and kicking ass in no time.

Almost Done!

Well, summer semester is almost over, I have my research paper and a in-class writing assignment on Thursday and I am done. Two weeks of relaxing and then its ass kicking time again for Fall semester.

New challenge

I have decided to venture into developing and coding my own custom textures for World of Warcraft user interfaces. Im still researching and tinkering with existing ones, but I will post more info later.

It's been a while!

In the famous words of one of my favorite bands (Staind) "It's been a while" and that it has. Well I moved back in with my parents, and I am taking a summer course (english..oh joy), but in the Fall it's a whole semester of Photoshop with Rick Rice at TCC. That I am excited about. Anyways, I also working on another site, always working on sigs for me and friends, and still looking for a job.

Urban is back BISHES!!

Thats right ladies and gents, Urban is back!! I managed to figure out my problem with Call of Duty 2 and now its all comming back. I just need practice more and get my reflexes and accuracy back up. I am slowly getting back to that PITA everyone feared. More and more I hear my teammates and friends say over vent "damn you Urban, do you die?" or "plz die Urban, kk thnx." I dont want to sound egotistical here, cause I still have a loooong way before fully returning to the old Urban. But more or less each day I play I get better.

Last night I ran Karazhan with the guild for the second night in a row. We had already downed Attune the Huntsmen and made attempts on Moroes. On our third try of the night we downed Attune with very little problems. Lucky for me I had just run to respec Combat Daggers and aquired myself a Emerald Ripper. :D

Crappy net day fun.

Well today the net was acting funky so I decided to leave it be and go find something to do. After helping my dad with some yardwork. I jumped in the shower and then grabbed some lunch. I decided to go over to my friend Dusten's apartment and play some Xbox360. We played some Gears of War multiplayer and then some Call of Duty 2 multiplayer. Didn't log on live but it was still fun. I also did a few singleplayer missions on each. I cant get enough Gears of War, it is absolutely AWESOME!!! Anyways, I setup my Xbox gamer profile and such.

Urban is back!!!111

Well, I recently rejoined my friends in GruntvillE GamerZ. GruntvillE GamerZ is a gaming clan founded and composed of members from one of the most popular computer modding and enthusiast websites on the net, GruntvillE.com. I left GvL about 3 years ago due to some real life and ingame drama. Never the less. Everything is back to normal and I am back. I am however a bit rusty, but I should be back to normal shortly. GvL competes online in Call of Duty 2 on Teamware.com. We also have a Xbox 360 division that I will be joining as well as soon as I can get a 360.

Vengeance - 3DMark 06 Score!

Well I got 3DMark 06 installed and ran the test. It came out better than I thought. I should be able to raise my score a bit once I get that 2nd 1gig stick of ram.

Well I got the parts and got my new computer all put together. I had some issues with getting the data off my 30gig, so I used the 120gig instead. Everything is running smooth. Tested out WoW and CoD2 and both have everything maxed out. It looks AWESOME!!. I just need to finish install some miscelaneous software and I will be back to normal. Namely Photoshop. I should have some pics of it soon, just waiting on my brother to send them to me.

ZOMG losing weight FTW!

I decided to weigh myself today. When I did, I discovered that I had lost another 10lbs. I'm roughly 10-12lbs from my goal. Yay go me.

New PC Delivery Delay

Well my new comp parts will be here Saturday instead of Fri. The video card took longer for them to get than expected so they didn't get it out in time. Hes gonna overnight it, so it will be here Saturday. Yay!!

NEW COMP!!!!!!!111

Ok first off, yes I meant to put the 1's in the title. Secondly, I am getting my new computer parts Friday. As I type this my uncle and owner of Computer Exchange (Augusta, GA) is ordering the new parts and will have it shipped out by tommorow afternoon.

Here are the specs:

-1GB Super Talent DDR2 667mhz (PC2 5300)

-Cooler Master eXtreme Power 600w

All that is getting put in my Thermaltake Tsunami case with my Audigy 2 ZS and 120gig Hitachi and 30gig Maxtor HDD. I will eventually upgrade the HDD and soundcard. I plan to also add another 1gig stick of ram as well.
