Commanded and Conquered!

Out of plain boredom, David and I reinstalled Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars. After the first skirmish against him, my warmup, we played again and with one base and two outpost / ore gathering bases, he still managed to kick my ass. I need to practice more since RTS (real time strategy) games aren't my strongpoint.

I should have a strat and be able to beat him in the next few days, but seriously, David rocks at Command and Conquer, he always has. Since the old days of Red Alert, he's been kicking my butt.

Oh well.

In other news, I saw Hitman finally, it was ok, kinda lacked in a few areas, but I thought them casting Timathy Olyphant (spelling) for the role of Agent 47 was pretty good. He fit the part very well. All in all a very cool movie, I loved the various gun fight scenes, and the sword fight scene ROCKED!!

Rolled like Cinnabon

=GvL= got rolled like Cinnabon Sunday in 6v6 HC Domination by DPG (Dog Pound Gangstas) on Citystreets. DPG managed to pull out the win when suddenly in the second half they drastically improved their skill, set-nades perfectly all over the place, jumping like rabbits, avoiding our bullets, not taking dmg.

My hat is off to DPG. I just hope they are ready for us when we come back.

TWL 5v5 HC SnD Win!!

We won our 5v5 HC SnD match, we played 6v6 because the other team wanted to. Good match.

CSS Coding is Fun....if you consider headaches fun.

We did a inclass assignment on more HTML and some CSS code on Monday. After completeing everything, it wasn't untill the end of class I realized my page wasn't centering. I spent two hours on it Monday night trying to figure it out, but couldn't. So I emailed my instructor to see if he could help me resolve the issue.

Here is the page, I redid the webheader with Fireworks, cause I like mine more than his...

Visibone Webdesigners Quick Reference Guide!!

Well my Visibone Web Designers handbook finally came. It's a sixteen page laminated book of all kinds of need to know info like colorcodes, symbols, html tags, css tags, javascript, etc. Very helpful. A cheatsheet or quick reference guide if you will.

=GvL= almost wins it 6v6 DOM

Well our 6v6 Hardcore Domination match was tough. We almost won it. The map was a difficult one with it being Countdown. We pushed for B as hard as we could, but couldn't seem to hold it once we capped it. I ended up dropping at halftime for Dicknervous to come in, since I was the lowest man (score wise).

We will come back though. We have matches this week in all leagues and ladders, so hopefully we can pull some wins out. I think we just need to practice for the matches like we did back in the days of CoDUO.

GruntvillE Takes their First Win in CoD4

Yep it's true, =GvL= takes our first win in CoD4 on TWL. The match was 6v6 Domination. I didn't get to play this one which I intended to, because I was AFK in the kitchen getting something to drink. They managed to fill my spot though and win the match.

Here is the post from our front page

We had our first Ladder match tonight in the 6v6 DOM Hardcore ladder and destroyed a team called RPI. It was 530 to 125 at half and double that at the end of the match. They of course disputed saying our server was to blame for their loss but it has already been declined and they have 24hrs to report their loss. I wouild say gg but they were really rude and made us wait 30 min to start and we had to get an admin to come in at half to get them to ready up. gg RPI, hope you treat future teams with a little more respect.

Research is fun

Well I got to do a little research on my upcoming Powerpoint presentation on John Baskerville, one of Typography's founding contributionists. I didn't really get much done since I spent most of Saturday playing Call of Duty 4 in prep for our match Sat night, and playing a little WoW. I worked on the garage all day Sunday. We managed to get the middle wall up, which divides the two bedrooms and started working on the framing for the side walls by cutting all the studs. It is really starting to shape up.

Oh and Photoshop decided to take a crap on me so I am currently uninstalling and reinstalling it right now. (what fun!!)

The Garage & lots of updates.

Well yesterday we spent all day working on getting the front wall up on the 2nd floor of our garage we are building. Just my, my brother David, and I. It seems we can't go one whole day working on it without arguing or getting into a disagreement on something. Anyways, I was very nervous when we stood that wall up, right there on the edge with 40 degree weather and the wind blowing. My hands were sweating ALOT, stomache uneasy and legs felt like they were going to crumble, but we managed to get it up and brace it in place. I will have to say, its quite something to stand back and look at. I took a few pictures which I will post sometime today (I hope)

On the other hand, its still cold as hell. Old man winter just won't let go. I keep hoping for that warm weather to come and allow me to ride around with the top down.

I got my old Trek MountainTrack 820 and put air in the tires and cleaned it up a bit. I am trying to get it back to working order so that it can be used again. I need to pick up some new handlebar grips, new chain, and a new seat for it. As soon as it warms up a bit I am going to start riding the Tom Brown Park mountainbike trail again.

As far as gaming stuff goes, played a little bit of Guitar Hero 3 last week. Blizzard just released a new patch for World of Warcraft (nothing special) and my team is back in action on Team Warfare League (TWL). I haven't been able to play any matches due to school and working on the garage, and looking for a new job.

I think that about covers it for now.
